So we pulled the oil pan and found this...

Pulling the timing cover and oil pan in a few to inspect. Seems like that long block isn't going to pan out. I did notice that the crank pulley has moved forward a tad and is pressing against the pulley directly above it.

Correction *red line, ams oil. Damn auto correct on these smart phones. Btw the phone app for android rocks!!

Your right going off the deep end in thinking new motor, I tend to want to plan worst case scenario. I have down time as a factor as its a daily driver.. ill pull out the cover and check the oil pan for metal. Guess ill just order the chain and gears with a new cover now. What's the best set...
