    Oil pan gasket replacement

If removing the gasket difficult with the anaerobic sealant on there? I like the idea, just curious if it has any drawbacks?

    Stock Harness to Holley Adapter?

In the end I don't think you will regret getting a new harness. While I don't have a Holley or any other aftermarket ECU, I did just replace the stock harness on my 86 GN with a new Casper's harness. My Stock harness "appeared" to be in great shape from the outside appearance. Last year I...

hood struts - suggestions on which to get?

Oil in coolant. Lean rougg idle

I don't believe it cost additional, at least I have not been opting for anything but the standard test and coolant, when present was mentioned.

Oil in coolant. Lean rougg idle

Have you done an oil analysis? That will show very small amounts of coolant in the oil. There needs to be alot of coolant in the oil for it to be visible on the dip stick or in the drain pan. Blackstone Labratories is the one I use. For example when I run above 32psi in my 86 GN my oil...

    What turbo?

I can't help you on the turbo size, but if the car still has the stock transmission as stated in your post, I would be planning on upgrading that very soon. If your planning on going E85 I can only assume you plan to run higher boost, which the trans will not like much. A proper trans...

    What wheels are these?

They look like Weld S71s with a bead lock. Depending on diameter, offset, spoke style and options like bead lock, the looks of the wheel can change alot. https://www.weldwheels.com/wheels/forged/s71

    Interesting find..

I found an interesting factory flaw on my 86 GN. To my surprise last winter I discovered the drivers floor board was rusted out, from the inside out, and that is the only rust on the car. The factory carpet with the rubber membrane backed padding sealed the moisture in and I had no idea...

    New GN1 valve covers

Did you get them? I also paid for them and did not receive them......but I did not use Friends and Family so after making a claim through PayPal I did get my money back, but wasted hours of my time. Definitely buyer beware it seems unfortunately.

    Advance Auto

One of our local ones is closing, big discounts on brake and driveline items only and they have to be in stock in that particular store. Still a smoking deal.

    Ta-49 questions

Its all in the tune and having a solid fuel system, and keeping a close eye on things like AFR, KR, fuel pressure ect..... Look at the 86 GN in my signature, the TA 60 on my car in 40 degree temps will hit 34 psi, I ran the times in my sig on 32 psi. The car now has 106k on it. Not sure how...

    Ta-49 questions

You have all that you need to push that turbo already. At 18 psi and your mod list, your better off with a stock turbo, the TA49 will be way happier at higher boost levels. If you get the boost up to the 25-27 psi range you will see alot more power. You show Alky on your mod list so you have...

    engine noise

What leads you to believe you spun a main bearing? Oil pressure loss? Did you cut the oil filter open and look for bearing debris?

    engine noise

Sounds valvetrain related. For starters pull the valve covers and look for loose/broken rocker arms, anything that might be loose or out of place.
