    Champion ported/polish heads

Do the rings fit tightly in the block? If so, you can simply surface the deck with the rings in place resulting in a flat deck. I've done it without issue.

Stage II picture thread- Let's see 'em!

Shame most of the photos in this thread are no longer visible. My favorite are those of Geno's car and engine - great engineering and execution. Gorgeous! Old photo of my LSR project, which is cursed with slow progress:

Crank sensor for Stage 2 front cover

So, what are you putting on the crank snout? The sensor will have to 'mate' with the wheel; either a harmonic balancer, a toothed wheel, or a windowed wheel like the one on my Indy engine (shown in my pic). Your pic shows a harmonic balancer with a magnetic stud. Are you using that?

    Indy Engine / Parts

Yes, but the Indy Lights engines are not the same as the Indy Turbo engines. The Indy Lights are standard Stg 2 blocks and heads whereas the Indy 500 engines have unique blocks, heads, intakes, etc, etc. I'm familiar with what George has. Thanks, though.

    Indy Engine / Parts

I've prepared a Indy V6 for Bonneville and have no spares. As some know, this is a unique block, heads, components, and much of the stuff has been cast off and forgotten. Does anyone know where some parts are? There was a lot of it at one time, but no one wanted/needed it. Please let me...

Indy Lights engine in for a freshen-up. Really nice piece. Buick threw a lot of money at this program in the late '90's. 4.1L, Kinsler (Mg) injection, Cosworth saddle pumps. It was a spec engine that made 425hp; dumbed down with a mild cam and 7300rpm rev limiter to ensure durability during...

    CMP Pinouts; need electrical guru!

My Buick Indy engine has its sync sensor on the Indy fuel pump drive which is driven by the camshaft. It's a 3-wire sensor reading a magnetic pin. I need to identify the pinouts so I can test it (first), then properly wire it to the ECU. The sensor is epoxied into a machined boss, and no...

Don't know the port volumes; and since I don't have valves for the StgII head, I can't measure them. The Indy head is significantly larger, however.

Stage II picture thread- Let's see 'em!

I'm building an ex-Foyt Buick Indy turbo engine for Bonneville (land speed) and am finding a lot of interesting and unique components relative to 'normal' Stage II engines. The cylinder heads are particularly interesting. They're a unique casting (as is the block). The photos show the Indy...
