    Intake Manifold?

I wouldn't be afraid of having it repaired if I'm visualizing the broken area correctly. If you were to send your core in they machine out the EGR tower and tig weld on the inside anyway

    Building a 7sec 87GN Drag-n-Drive car with V6 Stage 1 heads!

This was at the top of my YouTube recommendations early this morning 😎

Pretty sure I'll be there. Great to see all of your hard work paying off!

I spoke with you briefly in Orlando last year. Your car is REALLY nice! Hard to believe it's been a year since that event. IIRC there were 3 v6 Buicks and 1 LS transplant entered.

What is needed to put a 153 (on center) engine into a TR?

I've had a stock intake set up on mine and see how this would work. Ideally the China rail area would need a little tig work to change the angles to match the block. Extra RVT would probably be fine as well

What is needed to put a 153 (on center) engine into a TR?

I've studied those pictures as well. Would have liked to see how he set it up. Oversized press in pushrod tube's would work but once again you're getting back into the port. A rocker offset greater than what I currently have would move the pushrod away from the port but increase the...

What is needed to put a 153 (on center) engine into a TR?

Old hydraulics just to verify and measure. The marker line to the right of the number 3 intake port represents how close the pushrod is to the port and it's still about . 040 from being centered in the cup

What is needed to put a 153 (on center) engine into a TR?

Yes you'll have a few push rods laying over a bit. Number 3 intake is the worst on mine. 153 block with TA Eliminators. I've been looking at ways to run a hydraulic cam in mine. It's a challenge to keep the pushrod tube's out of the intake ports. In a solid roller application it takes a couple...

    Transmission trouble??

I broke a band anchor years ago that behaved as you're describing

Transmission section on here was outstanding. Several shop owners and many hobbyist sharing back and forth. I know you were giving out good advice too

I had been torn all day as to if I should state that as a possibility 😕 Also as you probably know these guys sometimes put check balls in different locations from those listed in manuals. Mine has a shim locking one of the valves in place. Seems like it was the 3/2 downshift valve IIRC

I had thrown the governor out there as more of a question if there a possibility that it could cause high pressure. I'm wrong in thinking it could somehow be diverting fluid in a way to cause high pressure. Moving forward I want to be very cautious in saying things I'm not certain about...

My governor theory may not be possible. Best i can tell if the governor was stuck open it could cause low pressure but not high line pressure. I found an old gm transmission manual that I didn't remember that I had. Trying to figure out why he's seeing high pressure in park that should only be...

Thinking out loud here.... I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the shifts occur when the governor pressure overcomes the throttle pressure. I wonder if there's any way that a problem with the governor could be causing the intermittent high pressure

I would forget about the cruise control for the moment. Also before committing to dropping the valve body try calling the original builder one more time with your findings. See if there's anything that he can think of that could be causing the problem besides something in the valve body
