Higher altitude means thinner (less dense) air, so less power/torque then say at seal level. A higher octane fuel being used would help reduce the tendency for a engine to "ping" or "knock" for a given situation.
For those who have changed from the copper/brass stock radiator to the aluminum aftermarket ones, have you changed to different coolant for the aluminum radiator? Thoughts?
Powermaster brake hoses
I was hoping to get new ones, but I might have to buy used. Does any one know if GM still sells them, or if any one is making them for the aftermarket?
Thanks.
Does any one know where to get the molded rubber hose that has clamps on it which goes from the powermaster pump to the bottom of the reservior. Also the short brake hose (about 6 inches long with a banjo fitting on one end and a threaded female fitting on the other end) that goes from the...
86/87 ECM conversion
Thanks Brad, do I remove my cal-pak from my ECM and place it in the 86/87 ECM? And do I still need to get a chip from some one in order to run, if so any recommendations?
Does any one have a step by step direction or guide to converting from the 84/85 ECM to the 86/87 ECM? I have all ready used the Coil & Module Converter to convert to the 86/87 Coil and Module, and now I would like to convert to the 86/87 ECM, also I followed some manual instructions that say...

Any one have any suggestions, or know the "correct" way to install a new crank position sensor. I was going to do it without pulling the harmonic balancer if possible. I want to know if there are any tricks or correct ways to make sure it is centered for all three tabs on the balancer so it...
Cam Sensor Tool
Just go to Caspers Electronics "https://www.casperselectronics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?" and get the Cam Tool. It comes with directions for using it and getting the cam sensor set right.
I am sure this question has come up before, but hopefully some people can give me a little advice and help me decide what head gaskets to buy. I just purchased a 87 T-Type and intended to just fix an intake manifold leak and ended up also taking off the heads. So my question is should I go...
