200 4r downshift problem
OK... played with the tv cable and if i loosen the cable(meaning shifts real early and soft)it does not want to downshift into first at all....if i tighten it, it seems to work a little better but, not like it should.... what would i need to buy to check the line pressure and where do you check...- njp1974

I will try the tv cable. I don't have the tools to check the line pressure. If the tv cable doesn't work I will take it to a trans shop.- njp1974

yeah. sometimes if you come to a complete stop it will drop into 1st after about 10 seconds. if you do a really slow rolling stop it always stays in 2nd.- njp1974

I have a 85 Monte Carlo SS that is pretty much stock. The trans was working fine and i decided to put a shift kit in it. I used the B&M shift kit.
