1st time here, I run a 69 nova ,383 small block,on pump gas. I run 10.15 at 132 mph. stands up pretty good some times. any way, my dip stick is always leaking oil after racing. i want to put a vacum pump on it. Been doing alot of reading on it. currently i scavenge from my valce covers to my headers, its ok, but my dip stick still leaks oil. I read that running a vacuum pump from the valve covers, interfears with the oil trying to return to the oil pan, because of the vacuum being pull up through the oil drain holes. why can't i drill and tape a hole in my victor jr intake [valley] and suck the vacuum from there, by passing the valve covers ?
