You mean the speed nuts are plastic or the male extrusion on the trim piece is plastic?

I did a search for Dank GN on this site and nothing came up. The engine is fine. I just need someone that can tune up the car to get it running right you know like setting the timing and fuel pressure, etc. etc.. Will Chris be able to do that? What's the name of his business in Palmdale? Thanks...

Yes sir. Believe me - I've done all that until I was blue in the face. Every once in awhile I'll get a slight backfire up in the intake but other than that - nothing. Just think it's time to let the pros have it. But thanks for all your input.

I put a new cam in my '87 Grand National. Also installing new timing gears and chain. Cam gear is a no brainer and can only go on one way. My question is for the crank gear. Just hooked a Scanmaster 2.1 in my '87 GN. Disconnect negative battery cable. Red to positive ingnition, black to ground and white to orange wire on ALDL connector. Connect negative battery cable back up, turn on key and Scanmaster is very faintly flashing " 2.1 ." Anyone have any ideas what...

'87 GN won't fire. Can anyone tell me - if I hook up a code reader to the car would I get any info from it with the car just turning over and not starting? Also which code reader would one use? OBD1 or OBD2? I think that's what they're called but not sure. Thanx, Rick
