Dog House IAT sensor, PT&E says this, Big Stuff 3 says that

OK now I'm conflicted. I don't want a plastic birdcage to destroy my motor....but I can't see a metal rod CTS sensor being able to react as fast as an open element one. Water temp changes much slower than air. I have large aquariums that prove it. So no one makes an open element sensor with a...

So use a CTS instead of IAT sensor to measure IAT correct? Is same 3/8 npt?

I can't agree more with Nick. I have learned more about my GN in the last year than I have in the other 20+ years I have owned it. Every issue that has come up, someone else has been there. This forum and it's members have helped me solve all my issues. Be it with good advice or showing up to...

I would prefer a metal one. The Delco is metal? Part #?

Have never seen an all metal one. The one I got from Casper is like all the others, metal with a plastic cage around electrode.

Thanks for the input Brothers!! Since my intake is stripped right now anyway, think I'm going to pull it off and replace with a stock ported Champion one that I will tap in the back. Hope the rear connecting fuel line from the Champion fuel rails won't be in the way.

I have read the many threads on where to mount this sensor. Was convinced the doghouse or intake was best for a stand alone fuel injection for most accurate info. "Joe" at BS3 said "No.... don't mount a plastic ended probe anywhere in the intake tract cause they fail and motor or turbo eats it...

20+ year owner gets ripped off, desperately needs help.

As Rich stated I DID take my car to a GN mechanic. Someone I met at a GN event and recommended by fellow GN owners. But it didn't stop him from flat ripping me off!!!! Yes for awhile I was CONSUMED with rage. Every time I found dead mice and turds, bolts - brackets and parts missing, parts that...

After weeks of checking/adding grounds, rewiring, sensor resetting and revised start programs...... She's alive!!!! I want to thank everyone for their council and encouragement, all of which made this possible. Perseverance!!! The powermaster is shot and she is far from road ready. But now I...

Update....... Texas T and Jason came over and we went to work. The coil and module were toast, CAM sensor 180 out and FP regulator shot. We tossed on a stocker, and she would fire and try to run but only a few seconds. We think the rest is in tuning the BS3. I will be on the phone with...

Need some advice .... I was working with PT&E on the phone checking connections etc. Well to make a long story short.... with the key on, one of the coils was "boiling" (audibly) and smoking hot to touch. The other 2 ice cold. So I know I have a bad module and probably coil pack. Do I buy...

Update: I'm pretty sure I got the BS3 end sorted out this weekend. I ordered a TPS sensor cap and fix kit (just incase the tab is broken off ) from Kirban. Hopefully he can get it to me by this weekend. I believe when Rich comes over and we verify all the sensors are set, she will fire up...
