    I'm in the process of cleaning up my engine bay and I noticed the little rubber boot on the steering knuckle thingy is leaking oily goo. I would like to replace the steering shaft but I'm not sure what it's called or where to get one. Any advice? -W

    Phew. Good to know. I took a closer look into the plug and there is some dust in there so I don't think it was plugged in recently, if ever. I shall place it to the side where it won't get in the way : - )

    Yeah I wondered if maybe the wires were not seated as well as they could be. I'm going to clean the connections with my computer board cleaner/protector spray and then go for a longer ride.

    Ok...update time. I finally got around to taking the poor girl out. My concerns earlier about sensors not reading is because I was idling in the drive way in 'open' loop. Forgot that the o2 doesn't read well in that mode...go figure. So I took it to the car wash a few miles away and rinsed...

    OK....after not doing a damn thing to the poor car last year I'm ready to try to fix this problem. I have a 3.5" MAF. Checked the translator settings and they were set for a 3" MAF but have been since day one so not sure that is the problem. I measured 3.5 as the outer diameter of the MAF...
