    Dyno time, N/A tuning guidlines?

This sounds like a tuning session on a fresh engine without a base tune? If so I'd take it SLOW. On my dyno with a new combination that is run for the first time I load a base program in that I know will get the engine started. I setup the fueling rich and the timing VERY safe. I break in...

Runs Good - Need Startup Help

Go into the system config screen then into operational parameters. I suspect your engine revs to run is 12 or so. Raise that up to 23 to 25. That should fix the starts then stalls deal. This will maintain cranking fuel for a slightly longer time prior to it going into normal run mode, which...

    Fuel & IAC @ Startup

Turn the key on, start up the FAST program, go into the cranking fuel versus temp screen and raise or lower the PW at the intersecting point. Try and start the car. If it's better, your going in the right direction, worse, your going backwards. Yes, we can get quick light offs with the FAST.

    Fuel & IAC @ Startup

That is true Carl, good point to mention. Yes, increasing PW's will give you more fuel.

    Fuel & IAC @ Startup

You would have less cranking fuel on a hot startup versus a cold startup. cold can be as high as 20 to 25 MS and hot in the 7 to 13 MS range. i suspect you would want to go into the coolant temp vs cranking pulse width table and raise the PW's up where the water temp is in the 150 to 180...

Hooking up a knock sensor with XFI

I have been told that the parts to use for hooking up a knock sensor with the XFI is to use a Buick GN knock sensor and knock sensor module. Our application will be on a small block Chevy. Talking with Dave Henninger(sp?) at FAST he thought we should see if anyone knows what the part number...

    Looking for new XFI software

Go to the FAST site, click on software updates and there is the link for the XFI demo there. I just installed the system and on the surface it's basically the same. In between and underneath the surface it's a lot more feature laden. Just having the ability to really expand the screens...
