Bison, it looks like I have to eat a little crow on this one. Upon further inspection, fluid is in fact coming from the top side of the high pressure line & not the vent tube. The way it was spraying out of the top of the fitting, it made it look like it was raining down from the vent tube area...- Ronzo

What could cause a 2004r to pump itself dry thru the vent tube? The trans was not over-filled, nor was it hot. This happened immediately after starting engine (cold start), i noticed a huge puddle on the garage floor. I will say the trans has in the past been known to spit a bit of fluid out the...- Ronzo
