    cruise control went out

    My 1987 GN has the cruise control option and it was working fine. I just had the powermaster replaced and now I have no cruise control. Did replacing the powermaster unit have something to do with why I now have no cruise control?

    replacing powermasters

    I'm ready to switch out my powermaster unit with one I'm going to get from autozone. Is this a difficult task? Are there are any special techniques or tools I'll need before I start? Should I attempt this myself or just have my mechanic do it?

    engine code 31

    Sometimes my check engine light comes on. I found the code to be 31. I switched out the wastegate solenoid, but the check engine light still comes on with the same code. Do I have a defective wastegate solenoid or is it something else?

    brake noise

    I was having some brake problems with my 1987 GN a few months ago. Whenever you pressed on the brake pedal the brake light would come on for a second. The brake pedal then got very firm and the car was very difficult to stop. I swapped out the accumulator bowl and all of these problems...

However, when you push down on the gas extremely hard the car takes off very fast and then the engine pops or coughs or misses for a second or two and then takes off very fast again.
