I do like the looks of the Roadhawk too. One of the H body members has one with the glass roof. Bryan McCready's web site has a prototype picture of the Roadhawk and its a four headlight car. Buick did a Free Spirit Hawk for 76 & 77. Nighthawk for 77 and the Roadhawk and Designer Accent...

    1980 Monza Spyder 3.8

Don't want to drown you guys with H body stuff but here is a few more pics. This Mirage was in Hemmings Muscle Machine a few years back (17K miles) The yellow Monza was in a Movie last Summer. The actor who drove it didn't know how to drive a manual so all the film with him in it...

    1980 Monza Spyder 3.8

Check this out The Official H-Body Internet Community • Information The Moser rear has an F body pumpkin and a crossmember was made up front. Not really close but.... Stock rear and slicks don't make a good match. Brian

    1980 Monza Spyder 3.8

Wow just had to chime in on this one. Here is a link to all the engines installed in H bodies monza According to several of the H body members there was a Monza V8 built from the factory with a 4bbl carb. I have a 1977 Buick H body report that shows 1 SkyHawk built with an L77 RPO code...

    Turbo Crank ID?

Originally I put my finger on the journal and went to the edge and couldn't feel it on the main. Starting at the edge first I could definitely feel the groove on the main but not the rod journal. Now I know for sure! Brian

    Turbo Crank ID?

I ran my fingernail over a main and rod journal and did not feel a groove. It is not 90 degrees either. Probably not the turbo crank but I might get a better idea a friend has a 4.1 crank that he thinks is original so I can compare. Pic is not very good - Thanks for the help! Brian

    Turbo Crank ID?

I realize it is probably simple enough to tell for somebody who has seen both but I haven't. This 109 engine came out of an 86 Bonneville made in Mexico I think. I guess it should not be a turbo crank but if you don't mind this evening I'll try and get a good pic of it and see what you think...

    Turbo Crank ID?

What is an easy way to know if the crank is a turbo or NA crank? I've read the NA crank is rolled filled at edge of the main journals and not the rod journals. The crank I have both look the same. From some of the pictures on the net this radius must be hard to see? Thanks, Brian

    Chevette's

I have 3:42's now. I've read that a lot of TR's keep that gear with a 26" tall tire. Not knowing I didn't think 6500 would be a big deal but from some of the info I've found sounds like the turbo V6 makes it all under 6k. I just ordered the new Buick engine book and should have it by June 1...

Weld up header kits? 304SS any out there?

I have found everything but the head flange for the Buick V6. I have an 86 109 engine going into a 77 Skyhawk. I can have the head flange made but just wanted to compare prices. Thanks, Brian
