    Rear disc brake conversion

Just wondering, my buddy with a 72 Lemans just got directions on installing rear disc brakes on a 10" rear. They are off of a 99 LS1 TA. He picked them up for a little over a $100.00 (the brakes) Has anyone done/tried this??

arrggghhhh and Help!! killed rear psg side sprk plug

A little trick I picked up on while changing valve springs. When you go to install the new plug, push a hose (about 8-10 in. long) over the ceramic, and use the hose to spin the new plug into the threads. I've broken 2 plug trying to install them. It is a pain to get out though. Good Luck...

    Cranks, but won't start!

I see that Meanbuicks is having the same trouble as I am. I went out and did a few more checks posted on his thread. I really think that it is the crank sensor. The tach doesn't move when I turn it over and the pump doesn't prime if I bump the key. It will run if I crank it over a couple of...

    Cranks, but won't start!

Last night I took my car to the track, It ran well all night. On the way home, I stepped on it at a red light. The car shut off immediately and hasn't started since. I'm not getting any spark. The fuel pump is running and the car cranks fine. Today I swapped out the coil pack and module with a...

    A truely honest E-bay auction

I must have missed the one of the guy in the wedding dress. I swear, every time I read this thing I laugh until I'm in tears. I know his pain though. My neighbors at my old place thought that I went nuts when threw an old push mover across the yard. I spun 2 or 3 times and let 'er...

    Any electricians here?

Industrial electrician is a good field to get into. If you get good at it, there are alot of places you can work at should you need to find another job. My Uncle is an indust. elect. and he always has a good job. I worked as a robotics tech. with a TV manufacturer for 10 years. When one of the...

    Wierd turn signals

I had the same problem once. I changed the socket in the PS side front marker light and the problem went away for awhile. It turned out that I had a bad wire going to the socket, and when I wiggled it, the turn signal would work. Turn the turn signal on and wiggle (or jiggle :) the wires to see...

    Thrasher, anti no start

Makes perfect sense. My battery died after only a few tries. It's been sitting since fall, and only started for a few minutes every week or three.

My car won't start with my Thrasher anti theft chip. Could someone PM me with some advise on how to fix it. I don't want to discuss it on line. Thanks in advance.

    Future of Buick

Coming home from the world of wheels show, me and my buddy that I race with were talking about Buicks (he is a Pontiac guy). He made the comment that he hates getting stuck behind them as they are always some old timer going 10mph under the speed limit. Lo and behold, within the next 2 or 3...

    Full Manual Valve body

Heck, I launched my car in 2nd at the track. I thought I forgot to turn the transbreak on, figured it out when I went to go for third and it wasn't there:confused: It can be a pain, but not as bad as a stick, no clutch to contend with. (See my sig.) As for hitting the shifts right, I have a...
