    PEVR cant find one anyhwere

Just use a Hobbs switch instead of the boost light pressure switch. 3.1-7 PSI ±1 4 PSI Normally Open P/N 76575 Switch P/N 76575-4 PSI is normally open and would close the contacts @ 4 PSI. This would then send current to the solenoid to shut off the vacuum. You can purchase this...

Oil Pressure gauge? Where to put sending unit

Lee, I see your point about the heat being a problem and frying the sender wire. I agree that picking up the oil pressure somewhere else off the block would be a better solution. Another idea I've had is to tee into the turbo oil feed line somewhere further back from the turbo; maybe before...

Oil Pressure gauge? Where to put sending unit

Lee, What's your reasoning that it's a bad place? I was going to put my electric sender there. When my car was NA, I had it down by the stock oil pressure switch location, but it got pretty crowded there and I had problems getting the 3-way oil pressure plug to stretch enough to fit...

I'm using an '86-'87 harness. So am I OK?

    I need a 84-85 TPS

While doing my hot-air build-up, I decided to replace all my sensors. I'm running the '86-'87 ECM, stock chip, and harness. I ordered the TPs from GM Parts Direct using the '86-'87 parts list off the www.gnttype.org-- P/N 25036663. Since it's an '86-'87, and my wiring is also those years, I...

Pink wire replacement for the 87 ignition upgrade

Just to confuse things even more, I'm doing a Type II Ignition Module upgrade on an '86-'87 engine harness, and there's no pin inside the module for the wire that would go to pin P. Everyone so far says "no worries, if it hooks up it will run OK". Dave

one last time for parts-lots of em-85 GN roller

Do you have the '84-'85 bracket that mounts on the RH valve cover and holds the EGR and WG solenoid? Come to think of it, if you have the two solenoids I'll take them, too! How about fuel supply and reutrn lines for '84-'85? (It's an engine swap project, so I need lots of wierd little things...

If you could build your dream 231 turbo?

Here's what I'm doing, which Rich and others will tell you is overkill for our levels of boost: TRW forged pistons, .030 over, lightweight wrist pins, Federal Mogul "Plasma moly" rings, 763 casting "two dot" connecting rods, Turbo crank ground .010/.010 under, GN harmonic balancer, balanced...

87 ECM in an 85 GN?

87 ECM in an 84? I'm not new to the board, having been a Before Black guy for the past couple years. I am new to the Hot Air SFI world, though. I’m doing an engine swap; putting an ’84 Hot Air set-up into a Vega, so I’m at square zero on the wiring, and still need some of the sensors and the...
