    thats the same thing that happened to mine. GM made the cam gear with nylon teeth, so my guess is that it skipped. i would check that out. mine did it with only 70k on the motor. even if its not the problem, thats one thing your gonna wanna do with 160K miles. -caleb

    how many miles on your motor? i had the same thing happen to me, i was driving and the motor just shut off. i had spark and fuel, but still no start. it ended up being my timing chain. good luck with the diagnosis. -caleb

    ive read in alot of tb's that you need to put a chain tensioner on a new timing chain when you get one. is this necessary for the stock one or for a chain timing set also?
