Hey Jerry, thanks for the info, I'm going to try locating that wire this weekend.

Can anyone tell me where the wire for the tach hookup is? I am installing a set of Dakota Digital gauges and this is one of the final wires I have left. I have seen where it is on the intercooled GN's (green wire by the power steering) but can seem to find it on my 85. Thank you for the help!

I have a fresh paint job on my '85 GN that has been in the work for a couple of years now. Is there a possibility of the turbo damaging the paint if I don't have any insulation under the hood? Thank you.

Damn! You guys are sharp! Didn't even think/know about the 3rd brake light. I was telling a some dude that I randomly met yesterday how I got a GN, and he rolled his eyes at me when I told him I had an '85 (which i now question) and said... "oh, a non intercooled car, my dad has an 87". WTF...
