well here we go, my car has 49500 miles, it shifts hard (chirps) second at part throttle, hot or cold and chirps second when cold at wot., but when hot it seems to be very soft. it doesn't feel as though it fllares, just really soft? i installed bruce's shift kit and part throttle is great but still soft on wot? no debris in pa, and i was first to driop it from new. other than this it shifts great in all other situations? what gives?

You followed it to the letter and still soft on 1-2 at WOT? That would tell me band has an issue or somehow it is bypassing fluid at servo. Why? Hrmm, well could be a few things. I would , however , run a line pressure test prior to condemning the hard parts, and see if mainline is dropping at WOT. If yes, address it. If no, The fun begins........:(
You know, this is an instance where I have tried something that may work or "help", if it is just a low line pressure or heat exhausted fluid problem, and that is , do a service. Put straight Tractor Hyd c-4 fluid in it. With what is in the system it will color out. Just for grins, see if it helps...:D

tran fluid is ok, i tried that already

it is a weird problem. should get a new billet servo? it makes no sense that the car would only be soft at wot, and then only hot, it just tears the tires up cold as soon as it comes up on boost. gotta hook gauges up to it. thanks bruce

I think he meant not that the fluid is bad but that the tractor fluid has properties the exceed that of standard atf and could help. Like Bruce said it is worth a try to do a service and use the tractor as a refill to supplament what you drain out and see if it helps. Also like he said not that you need a new servo (but not a bad idea either) it may just have worn/blown seals, or a band or band anchor prob., i don't know your pan/filter setup but may be sucking air, get the pressures and try a service first. It's not really a wierd problem as the hotter oil gets the thinner it gets and easier it can leak and lower viscosity thus the tractor fluid may help.
