109 block

I know of a local guy selling a short block 109 with heads , mild cam, machined work already done BUT , it's been sitting in a his garage for a couple years now the guy said . Might have Little surface rust he said but it's never been ran. My plan was to take it apart and inspect it or should I. He is selling it for a couple hundred bucks. My Buick has lots of miles so might need one soon !!

If you can take it apart for inspection before buying then it sounds like a good deal.

For a couple hundred bucks, that sounds VERY cheap. IMO I would ask him who did assembly, what parts (bearings, etc.), who did machine work (if any was done), and go from there. Good luck.
