What would be the max size on the back 255,265 etc?

255 W/ OEM set up. Works for me.
left about 1 half inch clearance from inner frame.

FWIW IMO I have not seen to many quality tires offered in a
265 . 17
The brands/options are slim compared to 240/245/255

17x8 w/ 4" bs and a 235 45 17 in front and 17x9.5 w/ 4.75 bs and 275 40 17 out back. You wont be sorry. I've seen this set up work many times.

I'm sure thats no problem, the 275 fits with room to spare. a few guys are running the Nitto DR 315 35 17 out back on the 9.5 with no troubles.
