Pricing varies... widely

You can't offer a price for the car until you see it. You really can't.

If that transmission is in need of repair... it will set you back over $1,700.00

A turbo is on it's last legs? Consider the cost of a replacement or rebuild.

Single leg rear end? Non-posi? Figure the cost of changing that out...

He cloned the car... it is NOT a GN even though he may have made every attempt to make it one. How much is a GN worth over a T-Type? Subjective. Personally I like the T-type more... I do! So I don't subscribe to the GN being more valuable argument.

So many things can be wrong with these cars that you really need to look at it before offering anything. Some guys on here have picked up their cars for $1,500.00 Some of us have paid far more... What is the car worth to you to own it? Eventually it gets to the point where you can buy a nice '86/'87 car and be dollars ahead.

i called and talked with him and he faxed over the bills from the car

the transmission was rebilt last december and the turbo is new as of the 3rd of april

which is a plus

what does that mean

"Single leg rear end? Non-posi? Figure the cost of changing that out..."

im still new so i dont know what the difference is

X3 Here. Brad

Go on Ebay... and research '86/'87 cars.

See how much you have to spend to get into an intercooled car.

The average is $13K for one that you can feel comfortable which will require little to no repairs. That is my number... yours might be less or more depending on your mechanical ability.

I always assume the WORST when it comes to a car. They are ditching it for several reasons... usually because it has become a nightmare to them in affording it. Until they prove to me that it isn't a nightmare...

Don't believe every receipt you see... it is common for shady individuals to have connections to other shady individuals. If that fluid in that so-called rebuilt transmission isn't a nice beautiful cherry red color... you get the idea.

Does the car owner have all of the maintenance records? When the oil was changed ect?

It is YOUR money... when you release that cash for the car you are stuck with that car. I became instantly critical of this car when the owner slapped some GN badges on it. It shows a level of deception to me... and once you have been burned on car purchase you'll understand my criticism.

Never want a car so badly that you can't walk away from it.

thanks i no what you mean and i was skepticle when i heard he slapped the gn badges on it apperently he put them on two months ago and he keeps it inside so ill might take them off. its being sold through a exuast specialist and he also does transmissions so i assume he did it

im going to look at it tomorow so im kinda tryin to gather as much info on the car

i would like to think it will be the right car at a lower price so we will see
