Great detail!

It's good to see someone build a T Regal out of their GN kit. The color is fantastic!

The GNX rims I assume are from the '89 TTA kit and the stock T rims look like "General Lee" Charger rims.

Awesome job on the interior too!

Now if I could just get up the nerve to paint my kit into a Light Sage/chrome trim.

When we finally get settled in here at the new house, I'll start back on my T's. The plan is to build one of each color offered in '87. Robert at chrometech usa is the man when it comes to
chrome plating the bumpers and other parts.

The collectors will kill me, but the wheels were out of an original GNX kit from 1988. I still have one sealed in the box, so no worries. Yes, the T wheels are the General lee wheels. I'm the sort of nut that will buy a whole kit just for the wheels.
I plan to build a chrome/vinyl top car one of these days.

That looks awsome...very sweet attention to detail...I was wondering how you got the bumpers etc chromed now I know...let me know if you want to make a blue one see sig! email me or pm me...

That's definitely a beautiful blue car there. I'll have to make one in that color one of these days.

That is very nice! Have you ever thought about building them to sell? Maybe take an order from somebody, get all the specs about their car and build it to match? I would love to have one but it just seems there aren't enough hours in the day...:( :( I still have 2 or 3 GN and GNX kits in my basement waiting for me. I think I bought them in high school :(

I had been asked about this before. One problem is that, once I spend so much time on one, it's hard to let it go. The other problem is that my son is now 18 months old. That T was just about the last one I built 18 months ago...that tell you anything?

hehe.

Clay,
Other than the wheels, that is my car (Emblem delete and all).. And yes, i FINALLY got it back from the paint shop...

So, you need my mailing address to ship it to me?? Hehe...

Looks good... Let me know how your car search is going..
I'll keep an eye out over here for something for you..

Later..

Warren...send me some pics of the new paint. I'm actually thinking of going to look at a burgundy car over your way soon.
It's a burg/chrome T-Tops :( car.

Very cool indeed. Im just getting into customizing a Buick regal model to resemble my 87 Turbo T limited(real car pics on http://www.zalimas.com ). However Im doing it out of the 1:18 scale model grey 87 Turbo T (crazy I know). I have it totally disassembled. The only thing I have to do is chrome trim the model(it has blackout trim at the moment), add a landau roof, opera/corner lights, detail the interior etc... Well see what happens. Ill post pics. Good luck on the project Steve.

You have the color already licked. Adding the Limited trim and other goodies sounds fun.
