1987 Turbo T or NOT

Did they make a non turbo 6 cyl in 87? Is it possible to have a 87 regal with a non turbo 6 cyl?

Check your VIN. There should be a 7 in the eighth spot if it's a TR.

For example 1G4GJ117HP......

Are you asking if a 3.8 non turbo Regal was made in 87? Of course there were.. BUT if your asking if non turbo 3.8's T's were made.. the answer is no. BUT 307 Olds v8's were standard in T's.. Not many made but they are out there.

I have always heard that the T package was available with any engine, including the 3.8 NA. And I don't recall seeing the V8 listed as part of the T package (it's just a Grand Touring suspension package).

But I will admit I have never seen a 3.8 NA Regal T. I would image anybody paying for the T would opt for the V8 at least.

Rich, if you opped for the T package in 87 you must either get the v-8 or the turbo 6. No other engine options were available with the T package.
