2 questions- tach mount- interior lights

where do you guys all mount a 5 inch autometer tach without screwing into dash, and where is the fuse for the lights underneath the shifter (P,N,D,2,1) or do you think i have a short????let me know thanks!

If only the light at the shifter is out, it is either the bulb (bad or has fallen out of its holder) or the ground wire has come of (it uses a clip that pinches onto the shifter)

Tach - I took my gauge pod dash surround off, made a U shaped bracket, and screwed it into the plastic that holds the idiot lights. I used actual bolts and nuts with washers. The U bracket then went to the back of the dash and curved behind the dash surround. I then put the dash surround back on and then mounted the tach to the bracket.
