I'm installing an alky kit and a 3 bar sensor. Car has aftermarket vdo gauges and rjc boost controller. It looks like the 2 bar sensor is already removed do I just plug the hose in the 3 bar sensor.

theres a vac line running over there off the boost gauge.

new kit ?.. assume its a razor kit ...did you read the instructions ?
any questions its easiest to just call julio at alkycontrol during business hours

and thats not a 2bar , its a boost lamp switch for the factory digital dash
the plug in pic will plug into map sensor but you cant just plug into it , it is for map but is not active on cars that came with digital dash and requires the adapter that should be in your kit
again call julio he will sort you out

The car doesn't have a digital dash in it now. I purchased the alky kit on here it is one of his kits and I talked with him and he sent me the instructions. I just purchased the car a few months ago didn't know it was a digital dash cause of the gauges it has now. I will try to contact Julio again and see if he can help me out.

Remove that switch, remove that rigged up hose, and mount 3 bar to the bracket. You will need 2 screws to do this.
Plug the harness into the TPS and plug the other end into the 3 bar. Run green wire to alky controller.
Install a new hose from port on intake to 3 bar map sensor port. Put a zip tie on each end.. done. I use AC Delco brand 5/32 hose when I do it.

Seeing your car has that switch, means it was a digital dash car originally.

Don't use the 3 pin weather pack plug in the picture as its old and not going anywhere inside the car. So in the end the 2 pin blck plug and the 3 pin black plug in your picture.. you won't use.

Hope this helps

Julio

PS.. we have a tech area for alky kit related questions..

What harness do I plug into the tps?

im guesssing seeing as how he " purchased the alky kit on here" that he doesnt have that harness since its a newer addition to the kits

Not trying to hijack this thread, but why can you not use the same plug that is plug into the 2 bar for the 3 bar if you have the analog dash

no one said you couldnt use it with analog .. you can as that connector is live (has power and ground )
and you need to tap the green wire (either under hood or under dash above the ecm)
in doing it that way if you have an analog cluster the 5v power source is from the tach boost module in the dash and thats not really an optimal source after 25yrs ,
just that with digital dash cars the dash harness doesnt support that connector and it has no power or ground

its better to use the 5v power off the tps which uses the ecms 5v to power the sensor , it could be done by rewiring a couple things under the dash but julio made a harness making it simple plug and play which is so much easier for the novice

Yeah I don't have that harness I'll see if I can order one. If I get one what your saying us unplug the tps and run the harness from tps to the 3bar and leave the harness that's plugged into the tps now unplugged?

Ahh haaa.. used kit I understand.. how old is that pump?
Harness was added this year standard equipment on all Buick kits to make things "easy"

Harness has a male/female plug for the TPS. Like was said to make things easy.

It came with two pumps and two controllers. Has your older style pump and the newer black one which I plan on using.its almost 2 kits. I sent you a pm is there a way I could purchase a harness for sensor? Should of saved my self the hassle and bought a new one.

Looks like you need new LED's, the power injection bulb, a new Cat5 coupler, TPS harness, new washers for the nozzle, and look at the date on the pump.. if its more than a few years old.. it may need service.

Need a part.. pick up the phone and call. Only install it as a single nozzle kit.
