Hello

I have an 84 T, and have a couple of questions.

I have upgraded the fuel pump to a Holley High Flow pump, added 38lb injectors, and a Jet performance state 2 chip, as well as upgrading the turbo and adding an ajustable wastegate. had car dyno'd to diagnose lack of power, and got 255 hp at 3800 RPMS, then it drops. Added hit wire kit to fuel pump, and now it has less power. Also, the engine has been fully rebuilt. I adjusted thr FP to 40lbs w/the line off. Running about 12-14lbs of Vacuum at idle. The only way I can get this car to move at all is WOT. I have a Vacuum/Boost guage tapped into the FP line, and do read some boost, about 5lbs under load. Please give me any suggestions you can to help me with this.

Thank You

Jarrod

if your boost is at 5 lbs, then it is waaaaay too low.....wastegate adjustment necenssary....fp is good at 40-42 static, with 38 lb injectors? what brand injectors....I am not too familiar with the holley pump, but if you want fuel upgrade, the walbro is the way to go....hot-wiring a holley may be too much voltage for their unit  You may want to check on that chip, talk to jay carter or someone for a good chip for you to use until you get it tuned....

Most of the time, dyno-ing a car only gives you numbers to be more confused about when you are not finished solving any issues.....255 isnt half bad considering you are only at 5 lbs if that is accurate....if you want a good source for turbo boost, there is a plug on the front of the intake, and also a nipple with a y on the back of the intake...you can tap into either (one you can tap into with just a plastic vacuum fitting) the front tap has a small plug, 1/4 inch I believe, so you will need to get a nipple or fitting to put in the place of the plug....with the boost set accurately, stock was I beleive around 12 psi....try to get the right numbers and see what that yields.

I am not too familiar with holley pumps, or the Jet chip you spoke of, but I am sure you can get more than 55 hp out of those mods in good tune!

John
