I'm posting this 86 GN astroroof car for a good friend of mine. I've seen the car many times in person and it is impeccable!
Immaculate Grand National with a ground up professional restoration (2008-2010) of a clean, never hit, super straight, rust free southern car. Only driven 3600 miles since, (odometer reset to zero at time of restoration) restoration. Power seats, windows, locks, tilt wheel, fast ratio power steering, power disc brakes with rare aluminum rear drums, and very rare factory power Astro roof. Car also has new grey and black power bucket seat interior with factory console, full factory backlit gauges, front and rear spoilers, flow master exhaust, Delco concert sound II audio (best available), and factory air conditioning Everything has been restored, rebuilt or replaced NOS, except for exhaust, cold air intake and 3.42 rear differential with upgraded Auburn post rear gears and shocks. Aftermarket gauges and console top easily removed if desired no holes drilled. Paint is a 9.5 out 10 for quality, interior is flawless, detailed engine bay and chassis. No rust on the frame or body of this car !!!
Car has renowned Buick 3.8L V6 Turbocharged and intercooled engine with Poston GN 107T Even Fire hydraulic cam - Lift 430 both intake and exhaust, duration 254. Cam card included in sale. The car comes with both the stock and a Turbo Tweak Fuel Spark custom chip (installed), Scanmaster 2.1 Portable scan tool for 86/87 Turbo Buicks and a MAF Signal Converter which allows the replacement of the stock mass airflow sensor with newer, more reliable and higher flowing MAF sensors. What does this mean to you - the car starts great, is very reliable and on those rare occasions when you might want to get into it , it really goes. This car has its original factory installed engine, transmission and rear housing. The rear has been changed from single track to an Auburn positraction unit.
Car comes with a loose leaf binder of paperwork, some ownership history, and receipts for the restoration and engine work which was extensive. Engine was honed not bored and is still standard bore.
If you want a car that is in outstanding condition, runs great and can double as a family drive car on Sunday and a cruise night car on Friday and Saturday this is your car. No disappointments here.
