I have a 86 regal limited that i am converting to a 85 GN.The question is,will the wire harness i have with the 85 gn motor, plug into and match the regal fuse box plug on the firewall under the brake booster?

They should match

I know it will plug in, but it may not have the wires for the powermaster brakes if you are going to use that kind of system.

On the 86 regal it would have the wires for the fan relay power in the bulkhead so it may be a good time to add an electric fan since the the wire is ran a good ways for you.

Connector Pinout Diagrams

That is the pinout for the bulkhead on a 86 turbo car (not a reg. regal).

Hope that helps.

Im not trying to congest your thread with for sale adds. But, I see that you are putting in a hot air setup. If you need a hot air engine wiring harness, I have one that I saved from my last engine(84) before I junked it. Let me know if you are interested.

That sounds good to me,cause i am going to use the factory vac brakes. And i have a spare dual fan setup from a lt1 caprice that i am going to use,and eliminate the clutch fan junk...Thanx

For some reason Im getting a little confused on whats going on here. So, you are basically going to have a hot air setup, right? If so, the two wiring harness are meant to run different ways. The 86-87 runs on the backside, and the 84-85 are meant to run on the front of the engine.

Fbod, he is installing a hot air motor (and harness), into an 86 NA regal... The factory regal has virtually the same fuse panel/block as the hot air car, with only slight differences in fuse options, depending on the options of your regal... You should be able to connect... Vacuum brakes are awesome, I had them in all my regals, and in my LC2 swapped car (87 limited)... i wish I had them still... The hot air im working on is a factory original 84 T, with the hydroboost brakes, which I have been told often are a real good system... i liked the vacuum system personally...

Good luck!!!

Ok, now I get it. I thought he was going to try to use the 86 harness on the 84-85 engine.
