I found a 86 t-type with 143000 miles, he said it runs, turbo works, but the body it junk, would need atleast rear quarters(and probably doors) from all the bondo in them. would this car be worth $700? if I put this motor in a plain regal body would that car be worth anything that way? (clone)

Naaa. Tell me exactly where it is and I'll dispose of it properly. ;)

If the car has got a G80 posi and the correct, good working transmission it would definitely be worth it. A clone will never hold the value of an original but you're only building it to have fun anyway, no?

Add the wiring harness and fuel tank/lines to what Greg said, and even without a posi rear it's worth it. Just try piecing all that stuff together without a donor car for your clone :-). I think a clone in good shape would be worth more than a rusted out real t-type, but I look at both as just drivers anyway so neither would bring much at a sale.

YES!!!! for 700 dollars pick it up...

Besides all the big stuff like drivetrain and rear end, there will be a lot of little parts that you may need on the T-Type.

I may be doing the same thing. My 87 Turbo-T has developed a case of rusting out floorboards. It also needs new doors and rear quater panels.
