87 ECM Conversion

Just got a pretty good deal on an 87 ECM on Ebay! 27$ with shipping. Is the 87 and 84 ECMs interchangeable? I was told using the 87 MAF is better than using the stock 84. Are they plug and play? Or is there a need to adapt it somehow?

[Edit 1] Uhm. Problem. The Number for the ECM does not match that of what the guide says. This turbo has the service number: 16136965, the guide says 1227148
[Edit 2]. Turns out the ECM is from a 91-93 Caprice.. False advertising ftl *sigh*
