I have an 87 GN shortblock out of my car taking up garage space. I pulled it when I replaced it with another motor. Why did I pull it? Well it bent a pushrod, other than that it did run good before. As luck would have it I bought the replacement motor as I thought it may be a good time to freshen up the one I pulled with the bent p.r.
That being said, you may get by with new pushrods/lifters and bearings or need a rebuild (it did not knock).
About 6 months before I had checked the compression and all was well and within range of each other. Water pump had been replaced about a year ago when I also changed the cam and lifters to an Edelbrock.
I have thought about keeping it but but don't forsee me doing any other large car projects in the next year, trying to take it easy this year and focus on other priorities.
So, if anyone is interested shoot me a pm with an offer or make an offer on engine parts. What's it worth?
Stock heads, upgraded springs
Not sure on block/piston overbore or stock ?
No intake, manifolds etc.
