 I need some serious help here!
I bought this car from my son knowing it had some sort of an electronic problem thinking that I could easily fix it. Wrong! The car has a 1k mile engine in it with alum. GN1 heads, hyd. roller cam, roller rockers, 3 1/2" maf, 3"downpipe on a precision 64 turbo, stretched intercooler in stock location, Art Carr 9" 3k converter, stock gears, 57 lb. injectors, hot wired fuel pump, direct scan, scanmaster, now with a turbo tweak chip, it had an extender extreme chip in it.
The car would run and drive great after engine installed and put out 481 rwhp on dyno. It sat up for a few months and was jump started a couple of times due to not driving it. This is when the trouble started, you could drive the car but it would hardly pull up or back up the inclined drive into the garage, and the knock sensor gague would go off when giving throttle under a load or just sitting still. On the way over to my house it backfired one time. That is the only time it has done that.
I have checked the cam sensor replaced the crank sensor and esc, tried two different ecm's and chips, two maf's, had two ignition modules checked as good at O'Reilly's, checked the coil packs, one about 11.65k and the other at 12.62k resistance. I'm going crazy, please help!!!!!!!!!!!1

Tailpipe backfire means rich. Rich could mean a number of things: bad MAF, excessive fuel pressure, poor spark/cam sensor out of adjustment, bad 02, TPS out of adjustment, etc. Maybe a 'coon crawled up the tailpipe!
