Why somebody would actually pay $ 50K for a GNX, regardless of how nice it is, when it has 32K miles on it is beyond me. Another $ 5.5k would have bought Gene Ross's flawless and unbelievably well detailed 13 mile GNX.
And I thought that the first GNX available for public purchase was something like ser no 005, the one that sold in L.A. and went to Oregon or Washingtom about 8 months ago, and was just either on e-bay or for sale at about $ 55.5K maybe just a couple of weeks ago.
As a serious collector car, it wouldn't matter if it was the first one for sale with that many miles on it.

yes, the first one realeased to the public was 005, sold a few weeks ago. and why in the hell would someone do that to the headrests of an original GNX???? and theres no way a GNX with 32 is worth 50 grand. i love them as much as all of you guys, but come on.......ive seen many with 30k sell for 30-40 grand on ebay

They are worth whatever the last guy paid for it ;)

Embrace the lunacy though, because as people pay ridiculous money for the GNX, the value of all turbo Buicks goes up.

Nice car, but I'd rather have 5 regular GNs for 50K...

and that's why you aren't a car collector.

If GNX's start going for $50K regularly, you'll only be able to get 2 nice GN's for that ;)

I can think of 5 really nice GNs that are selling for around 10K...if you do the math, that's 50K...

I never said I was a car collector nor did anyone else.

...and that my friend, is why you are a high school student.

Really...the price of mint ones are increasing. Get em now while they last! ha ha

I cannot understand car collectors???

I cannot understand why you would by a car and never want to use it for what it was built for??? It seems like a big model, something to look at and thats it. Who wants to be afriad to put miles on a car???
On the other hand, I do appreciate that thanks to people like that, there are still examples of classic , sports, and muscle cars still around to appreciate.

For me,
I cannot drive a car that doesn't have at least one dent in it somewhere:)

hmm...didnt see that response comming. there was no offense intended in stating that you arent a collector. i was stating that a collector wants a car because it is super rare and really expensive. you obviously appreciate different attributes when buying a car. personally, i agree with you. i would rather have 5 regular gn's; or even better, 1 gn with 40grand put into it;) . if i wanted a car to look at and not use, i would buy a model. all of this numbers matching/ perfect restoration bull puts me to sleep.

oh, and i guess i missed the day they taught multiplication tables in AP calculus...bummer. maybe they can teach me that stuff next year at TAMU (and im only a high school student for one more week...yipee!)

so i guess i will conclude this post by saying....and that my friend, is why you are a Electrical Engineer.

Iamjeff - nice response. I like it. I agree too, 1 GN with 40K of mods would be the shizzle. <<poor attempt at being cool>>>

congrats on graduating! It's a very exciting turning point in life. Good luck.

oh yeah, and somebody but this GNX...;)
