These cars have been sparking my interest lately, I am by no means a fan of Ford for the most part except for the SVT's and SVO's etc... but these Supercharged 3.8's RWD with a 5 speed behind it sound like they could be fun. Have any of you guys owned one before? Do they respond well to mods? I would assume a pully and a chip and exhaust systems are available for them but anything else like the stuff we can get for our Buicks? The car its self is not the best looking IMO but I like the way it is unique.

There was a guy on here for a while that had one, I think his name was GNOneDay. I haven't seen him since the great flight though.

A friend of mine had a 95 TBSC when we were in high school. It was a nice car, no doubt and it did have some pull. From what I remember the mods for them are few and far between, most of the vendors make their own products at home.

His car (w/o slicks) never broke the 13's. He was stuck at 14.0/14.1.

You might want to check out SCCOA.com/org/net I'm not sure which it is. They're nice cars for the price.

Those cars are fun to drive. If you plan on buying one make sure it was maintained very well. If not, do not buy it. The 3.8 is already a questionable motor and adding a supercharger didnt help matters at all.

I had an '89 w/ 5 speed. It was a great car. It was pewter w/BBS cross laced stlye rims on it, and a slamming stereo. It looked awesome. Car was smooth and had good power. Only had a pulley and flowmasters on it. One of my favorite cars.

had a 95 SC but made the mistake of oredering the automatic. car handled great, comfortable supportive seats and generally fun to drive, but the lag was pretty bad with the a/t. never had a problem with it but I was obsessive-compulsive on the upkeep.

I had a '92 SC with a 5-speed. Excellent travel/sport car. Going 140mph is just as smooth as 55mph. The car didn't do any one thing exceptionally well but was a great all around car. Although it's not slow - I wouldn't go out betting money on the street. Pulleys and exhaust systems are about all I know of as far as mods go. The bottom end of those motors was the weak link - nothing near as stout as the Buick V-6. These cars are HEAVY. I always thought of putting a supercharged V-8 in the thing. One word of advice - they are expensive to maintain and if you don't do your own maintenance - get ready - everything is a bitch to work on with those cars!

Buddy of mine had one years ago. Like everyone said fun car to drive, terrible to maintain. I remember his wiper motor went out and he had to jack the motor to replace it. Same thing with spark plugs.

Thanks guys, I think they are neat. I don't plan on getting on anytime soon but if I ever found a nice low mile, well maintained one I might pick one up for a DD.
