98gtp third brake light

i have a 98 gtp third brake light on the Drivers side keep blowing the bulb and usually either cracks the glass or turns it all white inside how can i fix this?

I have no specific experience with that but, sometimes several bulbs will physically work but have different internal resistences, make sure you get the correct part number bulb, especially on turn signals.
Try also applying some bulb grease in the socket, to get a better ground, which can reduce overheating.
If all else fails, replace the socket.
