Does the IAC have a wire connected to it? If so, where does it come from? Is the IAC located under the throttle body by the passeger side of the block?

I have a guage mounted on the A-piller that I need help identifing. Is there such a gauge that have both boost and vacuum? It seems that's what I have mounted. Also would it be best to get the water temp and oil pressure gauge electric? Do they all come standard (electric). What other gauge would I need? A knock detector gauge? What do you guys use to accurately see the RPM's?

As you can see, I have a lot to learn, Thanks in advance!

Save yourself a lot of trouble and get a Scanmaster. It shows knock retard, water temperature, rpms, speed, and a lot of other good things. It does not show oil pressure unfortunately.
The most accurate oil pressure gauges are not electric.
Does the boost/vacuum gauge go up to 15lbs? If so you will have to replace it with a 30lb one if you decide to modify the car in the future

I placed an order for the SC2 today. Expecting it at the end of the week. As for the gauge, it goes up to 30lbs. How does it exactly work? Where does it get the reading for the vacuum and boost from? I guess I can always trace it all back?

Thanks for the reply!

It will read vacuum while the engine is under vacuum (i.e. not under boost) until the turbo kicks in and the intake becomes pressurized. I would keep it, it will be more useful than just a boost gauge. It can be hooked to any number of vacuum lines

Yes the Iac is under the throttle body, and it does have a wire going into it

Where does the wire come from? May be this is why I'm having high RPM's, since I don't a wire connected to it. Need to find which wire is supposed to be connected to the IAC, thanks!

I now know which one it is, thanks. I was referring to another plug (sensor?) that sits underneath the throttle body towards the passenger side on the front block. There's not a wire hooked up and was wondering which sensore that would be? Anyone know which one I'm referring to?

Do you have a digital dash or an aftermarket oil pressure gauge? I'm pretty sure that is the plug for the oil pressure. I have the same plug and it isn't plugged into anything.

I have an analog dash and no aftermarket oil pressure gauge. Any ideas?

I don't see a wire in the area that would connect to that sensor/plug? Again, this plug is located on the top front left of the block and has a threaded section of rod (maybe 1/4") sticking out pinting toward the radiator. I cannot find anything in the area that would connect to the plug.

The problem I'm having is the idle during a cold start is way to high, even after a few minutes of idling the idle does not come down. But, after I shut down the motor and restart, the motor idles fine, except for ocassional misses (RPM's drop lower and come back up, since I don't have a scan tool yet so I'm going by the revs of the motor).

I have yet to do the spring cleaning which I will attempt to complete by this weekend.
