Greetz Gentz,

Busy working on the TH200-4R to replace my 350. Almost finished fitting the PTS shift kit in there. Pretty elaborate compared to the B&M one I put in in the 350 :D

I worried about proper adjustment of the TV cable. I'm using a Lokar bracket, throttle cable and TV cable.

This website http://www.tvmadeez.com is very emphatic on the setting the TV cable properly. They also note that this does not mean the carb is adjusted correctly at the idle/at rest position. The lever may not return far enough... or goes back too far for proper operation.

How far should I be worried about this ?

MTIA,

D.

You should be VERY aware of the setting and operation of the TV cable for your 200R4.

The TV (Throttle Valve) cable is directly reponsible for line pressure adjustment. At idle (closed throttle), little line pressure is needed for proper operation. At WOT, maximum line pressure is needed for clutch and servo engagement. This is what the TV cable changes.

Essentially, the TV opening should closely follow the opening curve of the throttle, so line pressure goes up/down in line with the throttle opening/closing.
