Advice needed about my V2 system

I have the spearco intercooler kit on my car now.........and I have just purchased the V2 kit...............I have been throwing ideas around in my head since I purchased it??

What sould I do??

Run the V2 turbomotion kit with intercooler that came with it??

Run the V2 turbomotion kit with the spearco intercooler in the stock 86/87 location?

Run the V2 turbomotion kit with the spearco intercooler up front??

Will the spearco intercooler make a bigger difference over the V2 intercooler??? How much in the horsepower category am I looking at???

I have read how the spearco intercooler flows better, cools better, and well is bigger then the turbomotion intercooler (which is just a 86/87 modified intercooler).

If I do keep the spearco there goes my new turbo fund!!

Any advice on which one you would go with and how you would do it is greatly apprieciated!!! Help me out here guys......throw all the suggestion you can think of at me here!!!!

i'd stick with the original plan,sell the spearco,buy a new turbo and run the tm kit.

That is what I was kinda thinking..............since I got so many offers already from guys who want the spearco. Any other ideas guys?? Also were is a good place to get a gasket set for the intake.......local store or a vendor?? And anyone got a used 2.5in ATR downpipe??? Kinda off subject...oh well...... TIA Nick

I think your best bet it to sell the spearco and run the TM kit the way it was meant to be run. As is its a very good kit with amazing performance. I get no lag with the kit at all and im quite impressed withy it. try the kit out with the intercooler it came with, i'll bet you'll be quite satisfied. The stock 86/7 intercoolers are actually pretty good, and the ones in the kit flow much more cause of thenecks being cut off. Right now im not tuned and running 13 psi boost. And I there was an 87 gn and a regal with a 400 messing around with me. Lets just say they didnt know what hit them

So those are just my 2 cents

Thanks for info............I am just going to stick with the V2 setup and sell the spearco.........I want to get a TA49 turbo and I need new tires for my truck too.........and I just got done paying for this semester of school...........so.........and now I got to find time to throw the V2 on...........and I am a do it yourselfer beginner kind of guy...........so it will probably take me a while to get it all on......

Anybody got some good tips or a basic step by step I could go by for changing the stocker out to the V2 intake...........I think I can handle everything just fine.......but never changed a intake before.........well see.......but hey that is what you guys are for.......thanks for the advice guys!!

Ford Front Mount.............i do time...along with a new turbo...next summer I debating on tackling the FFM............School is rushing up on me already, so I think I am going to try and get the intake on before then........which means no track times with the spearco on my car .......otherwise I wont have time and it will have to wait until next year......oh well........life is just to busy......


what vacumm block do I need for the V2?

anybody got some nice pics of their V2 installed, with the V2 piping and such?

What does the intercooler bracket attach to?

and were and at what are the best gaskets to get?

can you buy Ford Front Mounts from the dealer?I am assuming so.

there is one in the for sale forum for 500 bucks I kinda of thought that was a little low..........since they go for 1200+ brandy new I was thinking in the 750 range
