I was wondering if anyone has replaced their front dash 3.5" speakers with after market ones. If so, what brand are they and do they fit well under the speaker bezel? The only 3.5" speaker's I've seen have tweeters that stick out way too far. Any help/replies would be appriciated.

I put in a set of Pioneer 3.5" speakers in the dash of the el camino (But it has an '84 GN dash) had to mount them underneath the panel. Just put the clips the screws go into from the dash onto the speaker, then hold the speaker by the tweeter while screwing them in, (don't know if I'm being clear?) but they fit fine.

Alpine, but I don't have the number
Do a search here, number should come up

as long as the speaker is totally flat on top and does not have tweater sticking up it should fit like factory if not mount them roc87 said

Or you can bend the mounting tabs up to sink the speaker down farther like I did. HTH

Blau, Kenwood, Eclipse and many 3.5" coax do not fit.

Alpine SPS-080A I know fit for shure.

The Pioneer TSA-878 should fit also.
