Aftermarket Radio - problems

Radio goes on but sound goes out sporadically, could this be head unit? or faulty ground?

Hey man this problem can be caused by alot of things,first check all your connections,if power is staying on on the radio then your problem lies in the speakers. Be sure to check all your speakers and make sure they are not shorted to ground( make sure none of the bare spkr terminals are touching metal) if this is all good the pronblem is within the radio. let me know what you find out ,I'll try to help if I can. If there is sound when in low volume and don't cut off and only does it in higher volume then it might be a speaker wire shorted to ground.
