Air compressor hose

I need a new air compressor hose. I am debating between the 50 foot or 100 foot. I would like to get the 100 foot but I would like to know if it hinders the performance of the compressor/output.

I don't like a 100' of electric cord or air hose. I'd get 2 50' or 4 25' and figure I'd attach together if the need arrises.

I second the 2 fifty's idea, I have 50' on a real, a second 50' hanging on the compressor, a 3rd & 4th 50' hanging in the closet just in case.
