What should the spark plugs look like with alky. Knob on 5, Running 23lbs, 10.5 to 1. 22 deg. timing. Mine seam a little on the light side? Thanks

The only way to read plugs is install brand new ones.. make a pass and shut it down.. pull plugs and read them.

If your driving/idling/cruising.. you cannot tell whats up with the plugs. Except some major issue.

If you pull them and they are tan colored.. leave the car alone :D

I'd just get the AEM wideband for $200 and really find out what's happening, it's cheap insurance as reading plugs is way too late if it's lean and knocking.

With 10.5:1 compression and all that boost and timing, I'd be surprised pump and alky can handle that cylinder pressure, especially with the knob on 5.

I would guess that he was talking about the air fuel ratio when he says 10.5:1. If he's running Fast XFI, he probably has a WB sensor.

Yep, you cannot get a good plug reading from making a pass at a track, then idle back to the pits & pull the plugs to read them.

You would need to install new plugs, make a pass, imediatly shut the engine off, & pull the plugs to read them.
