I'm getting ready to order a Trasher chip, and a little uncleare on which one to get for use with alky. 92 or 108??? I'll be running 93 octane with single nozzle smc kit. I guess I need the 108, is that correct? Anybody run that setup?? TIA...Mark

I made my own 2 stage kit but I run the thrasher 108 (for bluetops) day in and day out at 23-25 lbs boost. I do have my base fuel pressure at 48 -50 psi though. I do not have ANY driveability issues with this chip even at the higher fuel pressure. I always run 93 octane but once in a while I put in some 94 (especially in the colder weather when the air is real good). Check my web site for more details.

Thanks Bob, that is very good to hear. I will get the 108, and hope I have the results you have. Anybody else?

I was hoping the same thing, that I could run a 108 chip on 93 octane and alky. What happens is there is too much timing for 93 octane, so it knocks before the alky sprays. I tried it, and the knock gauge lit up to the red zone. I got like 14° of knock retard or something. I felt bad after doing that to my car, but everything's ok.

I ran that chip on my GN which has a somewhat similar setup as your car (see sig). Ran 23 psi on 93 octane all day long... felt awesome! I would recommend the two nozzle setup for yours, though. That is what I now have (had) on all three of my TRs!

I think the 108 is around 28º, but no one knows for sure. Striker I spent all summer using Thrashers with my alky, and I started with the 108, but ended up using the 100.
The 108 would give me a little transitional knock before the alcohol kicked in, and I didnt want that. This is with the power plate also.
The 100 is almost as hot, approx 25-26º, and still has awesome top end. I love the chip, and I still have my 108 for racegas

Hmm...well, I definately do need to step up to the dual nozzle setup, no doubt about it. But looking at the website, I dont think they make a thrasher 100 for 009's. Looks to be either 92 (blah) or 108:eek: Maybe I should get both, they're only 25 bucks. Decisions, decisions...Any other thoughts still welcome. Thanks guys.

You can try the 108, but keep an eye on that transitional knock. SM wont record it because it happens before record mode kicks in, so you have to look for it on your own is all
