What are the dimensions of the alky tank (overall height, diameter, cap height/diameter) in the SMC kit? I was wondering if it would be possible to hide the tank in a gutted charcoal canister- basically have the tank sit where the canister used to reside, and have the modified canister sit on top of the alky tank like a hat. Also, is it possible to dissassemble the control box and mount the internals on a piece of aluminum or something in the place of the ash tray? I really like how the SMC kit is pretty much self contained (basically a tank unit and control box), but it would be nice to hide the tank, and the control box does kind of take away from the granny-ness of the interior. Hmm, maybe I should just invest the money from the alky kit into race gas instead- i mean, it does smell aweful nice....

I would say that the alky tank is about 3" too tall for the charcoal canister. Its probably 12" tall and has a dia of around 5-6"

I'm not positive, but I think there may be a recess below the canister, in which case, you could have the tank stick out a little on the bottom. If not, then you could cut out the inner fender so that you could drop it a little lower. That is if you don't mind cutting up the discontinued/hard to find inner fender.
