hey guys im new to the site and im curious about using alcohol , do you guys use it on the street? cause here in australia its illegal on the streets,
what sort of power gains are you getting?

not many people if any use this steup down here so any help would be great

Here in America the govt. puts at least 10% ethanol in our gasoline. Some areas have as much as 85% ethanol in the gas.

In turbo charged cars it adds octane to the fuel and has a cooling effect. Those two combined adds sometimes 20% horsepower.

yea we have 10% ethanol fuel over here too its like 95ron, i was more interested in methanol injection

the govt. dont let us use it on the street cause of emissions and the fact that it burns clear they cant see it to put it out

If it burns clean it has no emmissions. As far as burning clear only applies to it burning and not having contact with anything.

Example you have an engine fire with alcohol. The flames if they touch anything combustible like wiring, plastic, paint, etc will emit a flame.

Here in the US all cars are mandated to use a catalytic converter, yet the states that dont have emmissions inspection owners remove the catalytics for performance gains. Understanding its illegal to tamper with it, remove it, etc. Just like its illegal to change install an exhuast that is louder than stock. Lots of things illegal...depends on your risk.

You can if your really concerned of staying legal, use 49% alcohol as that would not be flammable.

yea we are stuck having cat converters too, unfortunately things like methanol and nitrous arent allowed on the street at all, not even allowed to use fuels like C16 or any race fuel, we either get unleaded-92ron , unleaded+10%ethanol-95ron or premium unleaded-98ron
