First i wanted to thank Julio as a few months ago i bought a relay and wiring setup from him to fix the stumble with the alky caused by my translator. It worked like a charm and now i can use the 2nd half of the gain knob with no problems at all (26 psi no knock). Anyways i went to the track last week and the best 60 i could get was a 1.80. (my best before on alky was 1.58) I believe that having the gain knob as far as i do is causing it to lose a bit of low end (02s while building boost at the line and through first gear are 830-40) Should I change the ramp setting to try and get less boost down low? Will this affect the amount of alky i see flowing at full boost? I lost my tuning instructions and the search function didn't come up with much. Thanks guys.

Ahh you want your cake and eat it too I see

What happens is two fold, one is either there is too much "fuel" being shot into the motor at lower boost ranges, converter could have changed, or waste gate is now acting differently creating a slower spool.

I can try and help with the fueling.. the others.. thats your end.

What I would do is as follows.

One.. make sure you dont run a volt booster. Having additional voltage sent to the alky pump will really hit the motor hard with fuel.

Two.. Lean the car out down low. Drop fuel pressure a little, drop base fuel(-10) on the translator, add WOT on the translator. Does this make sense? This will change the fuel curve on the motor.

Three.. play with boost controller to get more boost on 1/2 then have it pulled back when you hit 3rd. In other words run 28 PSI 1/2 and 25/26 PSI in 3rd. This i'll leave to you.. you sometimes will need to get creative.. like wiring a solenoid of a relay thats activated by the 3rd gear switch on the tranny. The solenoid is "T'd" into the wastegate so it bleeds air while in 1/2. A simple bleeder on the end of the solenoid. Car hits 3rd.. solenoid shuts.. boost comes down. The BSTC has a 3rd gear input on it..food for thought..

Thanks for the thumbs up on the Translator relay fixy thing ;)

Wanted to add.. you only need alky to get rid of knock. The dial is used to deliver knock control amount. Dont think of the alky as a fuel system. Even tho it does enrichen.. you need to get your AFR's with fuel.. and the alky is going along for the ride. So only run enough to get you to zero KR.. anything above that can sometimes hamper performance.

Yes its a really fine line.. so is getting maximum power.. its a really fine line that just keep working at.
