Alternator bracket making noise

My car has this rattle coming from what I think is the alternator. I did a quick search of this and noticed that some guys are breaking these brackets from torque straps. Is there a telltale sign that mine is broken. Where should I look first?

Make sure your belt isn't too long causing the tensioner to rattle against the stop.

I second this....i dont remember which one but one of the parts stores has a belt thats to long listed. Look at your tensioner and verify its in the window of ops. Also, look at the threaded pieces that are welded on the bracket that the bolts holding the compressor thread to...ive seen those break off and rattle

Thanks for the imput guys. Anyone have a correct part # or know the proper length for the belt. I have all stock accessories and pulleys.

Look at the ops window on tensioner its a slot that the mark should be in. If its too long then bring that belt and get a shorter one

So I have an update. The tentioner was out of its window so I replaced the belt with a 63" belt which did help quiet the noise down a bit, but not completely. So I have found that i can eliminate the noise while standing in front of the car and place my hand behind the alternator and pull it towards the radiator with quite a bit of force I might add then it disappears. Anyone heard that before lol? Oh and I did do a once over on all the bolts and brackets that hold it and they were tight.

Final update !!! Many thanks to GullsGN fellow member who helped me fix this problem. It was nothing more than loose bolts that hold the aluminum mounting bracket for all the accessories off the driver side head. So all i had to do was remove serpentine belt.... then alt., then the belt tentioner.... which exposes the bracket bolts....you will have to use a boxed end twelve point wrench to get to the one behind the AC compressor tighten bolts and put everything back together and the noise will be gone!!!
