Alternator Problem

So the bearings in my alternator went bad so I replaced it today. Now the car wont fire, its turning over but not starting. Can the plug that connects to the alternator not cause the car to fire because the one that is there is crap.

umm probably a good source for the issue... turns over but possible open circuit would not allow sufficient voltage to be produced to fire the plugs.... just a thought.
