Hmmm so the two competitors are at it with there kits....well...ok then, after reading some of these threads, what is the bottom line? and the type of alky used..methanol/denature ect..the pumps at risk here and so forth. Im a little confused about the pumps and the type of alky they can handle without burning up the pump itself. Im sure both kits are very good...but what is the basic overall difference? i guess what im trying to say is, that i didnt get enough input from the threads, and am down to the last ball breaking race fuel prices i want to pay..hehe and one of the two major gas stations just 86ed there 100 octane...now im down to one station at about 4.29 a gallon:eek: although i can run 24# of boost with lots of bolt ons that my car has, im just tired of paying the prices...i want to do this one time and do it right with the alky option....so gimme a hand here;)

thx

DIY

Make your own kit, it ain't rocket science.

Either that or post what power level and bolt ons you have and what you hope to achieve running a kit.

And your mechanical/electrical level of intallation expertise.

That would be good for starters.

Re-read the threads too so they don't get started again. ;)

There really is no "bottom line" at all if you can think for yourself.

Well....somewhat of a rookie at electrical stuff, but i pretty much do/try most of the work on my car mechanical wise with some good success;) but there is always something i could use help with when i do a modification..

As far as bolt-ons/power level? lets put it this way..the quick6 has never been dynoed:rolleyes: however i have a buddy with a highly modded 03 Cobra, that was dynoed at 495 RWP and 490FPT, he runs 11.80s at the track...i never raced him at the track with all my mods and my tranny not shifting right...BUT ive raced him on the street several times from a stop, and i get him for the first long stretch of lights before he starts to catch me  so in short i dont know what kind of power level im pushing except im pretty sure im busting out over 500FPT and less HP of course...i run about 23-24# of boost with nothing but 100 octane unleaded and a Extender Chip with 23/21 of timing.

Either kit would work just fine at that level.

I'd go DIY myself. ;)

Should be easy to equal, or even surpass, the 100 octane performance with regular 93 and any kit.

Good luck.
